What is the "Cashback di Stato" and how can I activate it?

The "Cashback di Stato" is an initiative by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance in order to promote electronic payments. The incentive will be available to everyone above 18 years old that reside in Italy. With your Satispay account you can participate in this initiative even without having a SPID; simply open the Services section of the app and select Cashback di Stato.

Make sure you have downloaded the latest version of Satispay! You can check it by clicking on these links: App Store (iPhone), Google Play (Android), AppGallery (Huawei).

How does the Cashback di Stato work?

Starting 8th December 2020, you will be able to accumulate a Cashback, funded by the government, with each payment you make via Satispay*. The Cashback di Stato's terms and conditions are as follows:

• The initiative will have a one month trial period starting 8th December 2020, called Extra Cashback di Natale.
• The initiative will remain active for three semesters starting from 1 January 2021.
• You will receive 10% Cashback for each individual transaction.
• The maximum Cashback you can receive for a single transaction is € 15.
• The maximum amount you can receive in a semester is € 150.
• To receive the Cashback, you must make at least 50 transactions each semester**.

Unlike Satispay's Cashback, the Cashback di Stato will not be issued immediately on your Satispay account. Instead, it will accumulate and be reimbursed at the end of every semester. The money will be sent to the IBAN indicated in the Cashback di Stato section of your app***.

* The Cashback di Stato activated only on Satispay includes only transactions made with Satispay. For other types of payment (which will be merged with Satispay)you can download the IO app.
** During the "Extra Cashback di Natale" period (December 2020), you must make at least 10 transactions.
*** By activating the Cashback di Stato from the Satispay app, the IBAN to which the Cashback will be credited will be the one associated with your Satispay account. You can change this IBAN on the IO app if necessary.
