How is my money protected?

Satispay Europe, as an authorised Electronic Money Institution, does not lend customers’ money to other people or businesses.

Under applicable European regulations we are required to protect users’ funds and we cannot have them as part of our own assets. Therefore, your money is separate from the funds we use for our day to day business operations and cannot be tackled by Satispay’s creditors in case of insolvency.

Currently, we have deposited the money received from your bank account in segregated accounts at Italian and Luxembourgish banking institutions.
